The dark haired girl stepped out of the Citi bus warily, as if she was expecting something to rush at her out of the dark park. The elderly bus driver looked at her kindly, probably wondering if she was a runaway. Which, of course, she technically was. At the age of sixteen, many adults figured she had no business living on the streets. They didn't know that she was quite capable of handling anything the world could throw at her. "You take care of yourself now, ya hear?" the bus guy said, waving sightly at her. The girl smiled faintly back and assured him she would, indeed, take care of herself. Behind the dark haired girl followed a bonde with shockingly blue eyes. She leaned over and gently kissed the elderly bus driver on the cheek. "Thanks for the ride!" She said cheerfully. The old man blushed as if an angel had just kissed him.
The bus pulled away into the night, leaving the two girls alone in the dark. "So where are we, Raven?" the blonde girl asked. The dark haired girl - Raven - shrugged. "I dunno. I think after we left New Hampshire, we went southwest. We should be somewhere below Ohio by now." Raven streached luxuriously, obviously enjoying the night air. "C'mon, Flaxen. Let's find somewhere to stash our stuff, then go for a run." The two girls walked into the spacious park, seemingly unafraid of the dark spaces looming between streetlights.
