Firetail - Werewolf (finished)

Human Name: Emily Michelle Bannon (derelict)

Nickname: Fen, Frey

Age: She underwent her first change at the age of nineteen, unusually young for an Urathan - but, then, she had a lot of Wolf-Blood in her line, and her mother was an alpha of noble blood. Strange things were expected. Years have passed since that day, and she just hasn't cared to count them.

Gender: Female

Breed: Lycan, Urathan Rahu (A born and bred monster. This variant of Lycanthropy is non-contagious in most cases, save for in those who already possess a sleeper form of lycanthropy (wolfblooded). These werewolves are not mortal - they are equal parts flesh and spirit, privy to a world beyond the flesh. These werewolves were born of the great Huntsman and the Moon's spirit made flesh. The Huntsman in their blood grants them a boon of flesh and bone, giving them a legendary durability and rage. Their ancient mother, the Moon herself, watches over them, gives them a duality and changing nature. Some werewolves are motivated by hunger or lust. Urathan Lycans are fueled by rage. Urathan werewolves are fueled by different phases of the moon, depending upon the time in which their lycanthropy awoke first. In her case, she awoke as a werewolf by the light of the full moon, the phase most attributed with the Rage.

Physical Description: Firetail is a woman of sharp contrasts - She has the body a model could envy, and a roadmap of scars marring once-supple flesh. She is lean and muscled, yet moves with disturbing grace. She is pretty, but it is a wild, furious beauty that scours the soul and torments the imagination. She stands somewhere around five and a half feet tall, with a shock of gold hair that fades gradually to a fiery red in the back, where it is longest.

Eyes like shining emeralds are set into her eyesockets, glinting with disdainful intelligence. She seems to have mastered an expression that follows you, like a creepy painting, and it seems to be her default poker face. Her sockets are bruised and a little sunken, implying she really doesn't sleep a whole lot. In the dark, under the right light, her eyes glint like an animal's.

Firetail is dominant - her posture, her voice, her way of conducting herself, all imply this, but it's not an ego-saturated dominance one might get from a gang-banger or thug, but a passive, dangerous kind. She doesn't need to speak, she need only direct her gaze, change her expression a little, and get her point across.

She likes denim and leather - its durable stuff, and it suits her. Her hoodie denim jacket was probably red once. She must have had it a while - it is almost made of patches, faded to a milky pink color amid the dirt and flashy colors of her patches. Beneath that, she wears a relatively new tee, rarely without an interesting motif, usually something sassy and strange, whatever color she wants at the time. Her sleeves are loose, never buttoned up, letting bare, calloused hands move freely, jingling with charm bracelets of bone, woven leather and hair, and carved stones set into cords. She carries an old magnum, mobster style, in the front of her denim pants underneath a biker's leather chaps. Sneakers seem to be the only type of shoes she'll wear, because the same pair almost never leave her feet.

Firetail is a werewolf, though. Her wolf is covered in a coat of dark gold fur, her mane the same strange blonde-to-red color as her hair, running down her back straight to her tail, which is bright and fiery red, her namesake. Her wolf is like her - lean, slinky, and regal, with long limbs rippling with muscle. As a pure wolf, she is not the most massive, but she is quite graceful and quick, a blessing against wolves that are more often than not larger than she is. Her inbetween forms, however - Direwolf (between hybrid and wolf), Garou (the legendary hybrid form often attributed to werewolves), and the Dalu (mixing human form with a little wolven prowess) forms are not disappointing.

In Dalu form, the one she wears most, her eyes turn to a molten gold color, and her hair seems to become a bit of the mane seen in her other forms. She gains some fur, and her features become more angular, more lupine (though this is slightly difficult to notice). Her ears perk out into lupine ears, and her hands gain the qualities of claws. Her mouth becomes full of daggerlike canines, more often than not painted with a terrible, oddly cheerful grin. Her namesake tail sweeps behind her in a lazy arc, long, covered in thick, fiery fur. Oddly enough, this form isn't too much different from her human form. She can even get away with this form in public - tail and ears aren't really all that strange in a culture that has furries.

She is accompanied everywhere by a wolfdog named Blackjack - he's a really big dog, and very well trained. She is likely the one who trained him, but the level of intelligence this dog displays is on par with a police dog at least. He stands at hip-height at his shoulder, has to weigh at least a hundred-eighty, two-hundred pounds, and has a thick coat of black and grey fur. Blackjack is an attack dog - just try to stop her from keeping him with her.

Personality: If you can imagine a crossing of a mother bear, a rose bush, Luffy (onepiece) , and Clint Eastwood, made the result female, gave her a devil's grin, lycanthropy, a magnum, and a stare that could melt glass into slag, and you'd get the picture. That's what people see - for the most part, in public, she's transparent about her intentions: Piss her off, and you'll regret it.

Truth is, though, she's an honest person - she calls it like it is, won't lie unless a lot rides on that dishonesty - its just not her style. This has drawbacks as well as advantages - makes her reliable, the sort of person you could trust with your life or five bucks. On the other hand, it gets her in the kind of trouble she enjoys - the bloody, 'interesting' kind. As a Rahu, to fight is her nature. Threatening her and expecting her to back down is to fail in negotiations.

She likes dogs, and likes them a great deal. It's not even that she needs Blackjack's support - she just enjoys his presence a great deal. For Blackjack's part, he's used to his unusual master, and allowed to do pretty much whatever he wants. She feeds him whatever she eats, shares in the hunt with him, and treats him like her son or a brother rather than just a dog. This has made him intelligent enough to stand beside her

History: She was human once - all Urathan werewolves were, once. She was a drug dealer, a gangster, and a part-time Taxi driver. She was good at her job - she's always been the honest kind, and that has served her well in the underworld. It's surprising how much honesty can help you when dealing with the newest asshole looking for a fix or dealing with the resident big-wigs in the buisness. Standing with a pack came naturally - the mechanics of the mob revolve around loyalty, and she was indeed loyal. These traits in her made her respectable, once upon a time. She'd never known her mother and her father was a slackard, so her success was hers, and a self-made, respectable 'buisnesswoman' like her was very welcome in the drug rings, underworld, and... you get the picture.

The first change has a way of turning your life upside down. For weeks before it occured, she was haunted by anger for no reason, became increasingly brutal and violent. When her boss tried to put the mad dog down, she lost it - the change occurred, she lost it. Sixteen people died that night, and numerous others were hurt, found later in gutters and their apartments, curled into the fetal position, jabbering about a big fucking dog. She went underground the next day, faked her own death, and disappeared off the face of the earth. For all legal intents and purposes, she does not exist.

She is a lonewolf now, and not out of choice. She's been wandering her city in search of a place to call home with Blackjack for three years now.
