An Abandaded snow lodge

There would be a hefty howling of the wind as the snow batters the travelers place, with strange rumors of a black dog guiding those who get lost his these storms but also of another who kills and eats them. In the distance would be a old wooden lodge but instead of being full abandoned there would be a single lantern in the window as it flickers in its glass casing.

There would be piles of debris laying around the place but in piles as if some one had been cleaning this place. there would be a howl on the wind but not of the wind but an Animal.

A girl with snow white hair and aqua blue eyes glanced around as she heard the howl. She had left the village only an half an hour ago. She was told to be back before the storm and most the time shes good about that but this time it had just came out of no where. She held her arms up to shield her eyes from the snow. She had on only a small coat because her family was poor and her father ill. She hugged herself because of how ice cold the snow was against her skin. She was very lost in the woods now. She kept turning around looking for a way out. they she gave a cry and just sat down in the snow helplessly lost and scared.

As the blizzard got worse she could hear the sound of the howling getting closer as everything become worse. A dark shape of a black dog like creature was in the distance but as it got closer it began to get closer as it jumped around a little as it moved towards her she would be able to see that I had found her within the snow having been tracking her through the snow, I had recently been hunting for food having a few pelts for making coats to earn some money while I stayed here hunting my true pray.

I wasn’t sure of this girl at first so I waited a little bit hearing her crying out it dragged me forward towards her until I was well in visual range, I had a winter coat with me which was from the fur of a bear, but I was not wearing it. There would be a bag over my back and I would be dressed in full black clothing that looked rather thin. “You know for a snow dweller you kinda got lost pretty fast, at least in my territories you did.” I moved forward slowly kneeling down and gently threw the coat down in front of her. “Names Atra and I’ve been here for a few months.” He paused. “Your gonna have to come with me... there is a building not far away from here where we can take shelter.” I looked around me as if looking out for something

Adele was frozen, her short black hair didn't aide her at all to maintain the warmth on her head or on the back of her neck. Her stomach kicked in pain, from three days of hunger. She was thankful she was in the snow, she had plenty to drink so she was moderately hydrated and used some of her skills she was taught young to make a shelter out of a snow hill, but it wasn't insulated and she feared of an avalanche. She had been walking for days after she had gotten seperated from Edward in the neverending blizzard. At first Adele remained calm, knowing she could survive and that sooner or later she would meet up with her dear friend..but she hadn't seen him for three days and she was growing apprehensive that they were forever apart, he looking for her, and she aimlessly wandering until her death, either from starvation or hypothermia.

She didn't know which would take her first, nor did she care. Not once had she cried, not once had she let one tear slip, allowing it to get frozen along her cheeks, taking away what little warmth she still had. Adele was sure she had lost hope, that she was going to die...
However, her legs were stumbling automatically, pursuing through the snow blinding her view. She continued and pushed on until her dull green eyes lit up with disbelief as she saw a wooden building before her. Tightly keeping her arms around her chest she pressed ahead, walking towards the building. Her eyes became wide and her heart jumped with excitement as she saw a lantern lit in one of the windows. Someone was home!

Without thinking she could get harmed by whoever dwelled there, she ran forward.

Bane had been around these parts for days now doing what he could to survive thinking that he might at least be able to outlast Atra in this place but the fact he didn't know, the snow was his territory this is where he was at his prime performance. Bane had been blind sided by the storm and him having to drag his paws through the snow meant her got tired fast and couldn't keep up with the animals natural to this habitat.

Bane had been following the humans foot prints for as long as he had been able to, waiting until the time where he might actually be able to strike. He was in a human form while he followed her making sure that she never got the chance to see him before they came to the abandoned Lodge. He'd decided this is where he would do it this is where he would get at her but if there is one thing he learnt was never to understatement your opponent and he had four angry scars across his right cheek and bite marks on his chest to remind him.

Bane finally would decide to catch up to her. "Miss... may I ask what your doing here this is private property." He would look around a little bit at hte blizzard. "And cant really go any where safely... do you need a place to be?" on the inside of his mind he was grinning hoping it would be as easy as he hopes it might.

Adele's eyes shone with surprise as she came to a screeching halt as a man came before so vivid through the snow. She gasped, a mist of her breath leaving her lips, green eyes focused on his features, noticing immediately of his scars on his cheek.

"Oh..oh my..I'm sorry! Is this your house? I'm sorry..I-I didn't know," Adele scrambled for words, her voice distant and scratchy. Her lips chapped, her throat aching for its voicebox being inactive for three days.

He tilted his head then shivered. "Well by the state of you looks like your about as buggered as I am." *perfect* he thought his cockneys starting to betray him once again as he underestimated her she was just a female after all a lesser to him or at least in his eyes. "No use standing out here might was well go in and see if I can get that stupid fire going." he looked up at the roof noticing it was a log fire. "Might have to gather some logs will see whats inside." he moved to force the door open having not been locked. He had to make out he knew the place. there were bits of tidied debris around the place and the odd scent of one he knew to well. "Atra." he muttered cursing to him self. *probably out looking stupid fool* he looked back at her with a smile as the fire was already set all it needed was a match which he looked back at the lantern taking the candle and lighting the fire.

Atra had always kept spare packs around being that he occasionally needed them in quick succession and it was much faster this way. Bane moved over taking the water bottle and taking a squirt from it but not mouthing the top as he sets it on the table. "Might be a little bit cold but cant be the same as out there." He looked through the bag more and just found rations some nasty stuff as well but it was good for survival which he took out not caring about them as he tired to find a weapon of some sort.

Adele, though starved and exhausted, kept repeating in her mind to be careful. She had run across cannibals in her lifetime and although never truly experienced the icy tundra's inhabitants, she wondered if there were still some human eaters lurking. She had just met this man, and although she tried not to let his looks judge his character, she was still a little timid. Something was different about him. As she followed the man, with a stiff gait, she felt her Velcro pockets, confirming she had weapons inside. Her pack was still on her back and that had larger weapons for her to use in case of an emergency.

She followed the man, he was tall and seemed like a hermit. He appeared to be hospitable but she could never really know. Hermits were one of the worst, as she recounted running into a few, they would be sensitive to feelings. All unfamiliar to outsiders, just a few hours with another person was more than enough for them. They could be polite one moment then cursing and swatting at you with a bat to get out of their home the next. When she entered the house she was thankful for the little bit of warmth it supplied. Instantly, she took in their surroundings, finding any escape route and any weapon she could use in case if anything happened. It was second nature for her.

"This--is a nice--p-place," she said, smirking.

He shook his head. "Thanks for trying to be modest but I know this is a crap heap... brought it not so long ago to be honest... haven't really had the motivation to clean this up fully you know... being a male we are increasingly lazy." he chuckles a little as he kicked the bag a bit. *No damn weapons* He sat down in front of the fire. holding a ration to her. "Best eaten cold trust me." he gave her both. "I ate before I came back up here.... hell of a hike though." he said looking at the door. "So what your doing out here... you know its dangerous." he was sitting shoulder to shoulder near her. if he was going to pray on her he wouldn't want her icy.

Adele was forced to resort to nodding. She took the bit of food he gave her, sniffed it, then took a small bite once she saw him eat. She didn;t want to gorge although the little bit of food was paradise in her mouth. Her stomach reawakened, growling and begging for more, but she tried to brush it away. If she ate too quickly she would become sick and one did not want to be vulnerable in any way around a stranger.

Adele listened to him, registering his words carefully. "My friend and I were headed towards a town, got separated in the blizzard." Her voice was returning gradually as she started to sound like her old self. She shrugged. "Happens." She then looked at the man. "The names Adele. Who are you and why are you up here all by your lonesome?"

Bane listened to her and nodded. "Well maybe your friend might be some where safe or dead, alotta wild life up here to contend with around here, trust me." he rubs his check a little as if to draw attention to the scars. "I'm Blake... I've had some family troubles and well my family turned there back on me." he sighs. "And lonesome I guess is better off any way, I was starting to get a mate, but they saw that to breaking up so I guess I'm up here for a fresh start where I'm not gonna be bothered."

He would look to her lips pondering wither to try misguide her in the fact of attraction to try blind side her. "And really being on ones lonesome is lonesome, good to at least having some one to talk to though... I know you'll only be here for a little bit of recover then you'll bugger off again." He would shuffle a little bit away so there shoulders weren't touching

"Oh thanks" I said backing away alittle sliping the coat on. "I've never been in this woods before and I dont get lost easy you just now your way around" I said standing my ground not gonna cower. "My names Serina" I said standing up holding my hand out. "The only reason I backed up was because u startled me" I said defending myself.

I smile and took her hand and a gentle hand shake the hand its self felt warm, warmer then it should it would feel as if she had put it into a tub of warm water. "And I never questioned that you would do it out of fear." I looked like a person that would be use to fighting, I looked her over seeming to judge her. "I can take you back here after the storms done and maybe lead you out depending on if you know the direction you came from..... which in point of fact, why are you out here in this territory as its pretty far from any form of civilization." I still had a gentle hold of her hand any very slightly started to lead her in the direction of the Lodge letting our hands part when I'm sure she had the impression to follow.

"I was looking around in the woods close to your territory for food. No body every comes in this woods so I figured better food in here. sorry i didnt now anyone was here. also it hard to tell where our village woods stop and your start it all looks the same." I said after he let my hand go. His hand was colder than my hand i felt it. "Hey Im getting alittle warm in this coat would you like it back" I asked pulling it of not wanting him to freeze.

He was perfectly find being warm with out it, it would have been the heat he had problems with not the cold so he shook his head. "Well least you know why not so many people come here, its a mess of ups and downs twists and turns, sooner or later you were about to reach a cliff." he said ignoring the statement about the coat.

She nodded. "Nice to meet you Blake, thanks for taking me in I'll leave as soon as I warm up a little."
Adele took another bite and chewed, staring thoughtfully at the food. She let his words slip in one at a time and when she heard him say 'mate' it caught her off guard, not once had she ever heard of a person saying they were about to get a mate unless it was a documentary about animals. She wondered why he chose that term instead of 'wife', but he was a hermit and alone, maybe his vocabulary would be different too.

Adele let her eyes roam his face, taking in the scars and only a piece of mauled skin on the base of his neck. She tilted her head in question. "How'd you get those.." she gestured to his scars.

Blake just smiled. "Oh an old friend and I got into a fight so to speak and left me a little reminder who was top dog even though he was trying to kill me at the time.... I only just got away thankfully." he looks over her. "Why don't you stay till your filly rested and at least have some meat on your bones at least, I'm sure I got some rations around here." which would be most likly as Atra always had a thing about not being caught unprepared. "At least maybe if your friend came this way we can pick up the tracks when the storms over." *Not that I can wait that long for a meal any way* "If hes passed through here he might have had to shelter up some where and I know there are a mess of caves in this area." *Only because I've had to damn well hide in them when Atra came to close* "And if you think thats bad... the minor scratch to the check." he sat back a bit a bit further away lifting his shirt to show the wolf bite. "Try this one."

Adele gasped, widening her green eyes. "Oh my! It's a wonder you lived!" She was taken by such surprise by the extremes of his scars she was only left to wonder how he manage to live, if she or her friend, or anyone she knew back home got harmed like that would die within a few minutes. With scars as monstrous as that there would have to have been a doctor or someone to aide his wounds instantly with plenty of supplies and help of their own.

"Had blood every where and really its hard to suppress that bleeding." His eyes shone as he mentioned blood every where a sly grin on his face. "Had to try and stitch it up my self, cant tall you how many times I hit my collar bone.. even though a part of it was crushed." he would push on a bit that went in slightly. "Something kept me alive that day, maybe the thought of getting revenge?" he smiled again. "So that friend of yours is your boyfriend kinda odd for a pair to be walking around of opposite sex's and not be mates." *Just get her to drop her guard just a little more... come on now, it will all be over soon.*

Adele was becoming suspicious now. She was only trusting with very few people, Edward being the only one she trusted with her life. She was taught how to fight and how to think like a survivor from the best, she knew how to defend herself and knew how to read people, even if they were trying to hide. But Blake seemed like she wasn't trying to hide. He told her bluntly that he had stitched himself, bleeding constantly. He shouldn't have lived. No normal person would have. What was he? Was he a mutant, that she had been warned of? And his vocabulary...it stunned her. He kept referring back to mates, people of opposite sexes were friends, she and Edward had been friends since childhood, what time and planet was he brought up in?
Adele needed some time to think so she smiled and said sarcastically, "Good thing you know how to sow haha." She glanced up the stairs wondering if there was a restroom. "Do you mind if I use the little girl's room? I need to relieve myself."

He smiled and noded. "Sure, I haven't yet to take a look up there as I've been consentrating mostly down here.... though I might Have been up once or twice." he would seem to be looking at the floor seeing something she didn't. "But that was probably a few days ago." he then moved back so she might be able to get up and go. "And my main problem that was my first attempt at sowing so you can guess how much tries and painful stabs it took to get it right." *Hmmm better make sure she doesn't try for a runner.* "I'll go around out side see if I can tidy up a few things, mind if you come get me or at least say bye before you leave to be at least polite?" *In telling me when you wanna try run for your life miss little red riding hood.*

Adele snickered, keeping her face relaxed. "Well its a good thing you pulled through. Sure, I'll do that. Thanks Blake."
She went up the stairs, although her hearing was only slightly better than an average person due to her training she still strained them as far as they could hear to make sure that he wasn't following.
Damn, she thought to herself, He's a fucking cannibal..and weird...and he knows I want to leave..shit,he may not let me leave. I need to escape. He's probably going to be where I could sneak out of the bathroom, I need to think of something.

His stomach would grumble now and he knew he couldn't hold any more he stopped at the door then bared his teeth. "Stuff it, if shes on the toilet she aint gonna expect a wolf to come around." He morphed smoothly as his cloths just simply fell to the floor just seemingly to go through his body as they were not torn he very silently padded his way over his claws retracted with the soft parts it would make him all that much more silent except for the slight creaking. as he was about to make a run to surprise her above the stairs or at least hope to a loud howl came across with the wind followed by a chorus of them he starting to panic a little as he was sure some one was close and he needed to eat badly as he noisily tried to rush up the stairs as a white wolf. Bane began to growl as he tried to find her in the hallways of the house

It would not seem this was Blakes house as the top was more clear then the bottom with the room across from the toilet being boarded up and the door seeming to have a thick solid wooden door freshly made.

Adele had wandered upstairs searching from one end of the hall to the other searching for a restroom and not one did she find. Yet she was still nervous about Blake, she was certain that he wanted more then just company who knew what he wanted to do with her. Being raised in an unsafe enviroment as child the worst scenarios ran through her head, all plausible and all made her shudder in her boots.

Through some slightly cracked windows in the hallway of the lodge, the wind moaned with the blizzard outside though the moan seemed close and reminded her of a canine's howl. She shook her head, her mind teased her with hunger and exhaustion.

Adele then paused in her walk as she heard heavy steps on the stairs behind her. Someone was coming up, she wondered if it was Blake but he told her he would be outside, maybe watching her. This was someone else. However, Adele didnt want to find out if they were friend or foe and she'd rather get to know them through a blocked door. Adele went for the nearest room and the door quietly, so whoever it was would think that she didn;t know she knew they were following. Looking around the room Adele searched for some kind of barricade, it was an old lodge so it didn't have much to offer. A bed, dresser, shredded rug and some old vases. But she did see a window. She went over and peered out of it, it was far from the ground but there was a pipe next to her that she could shimmy down. Granted the sturdiness of the pipe was unknown, it may be too old to hold her weight but Adele didn't have much to work with. Adele moved the bed in front of the door then flopped the dresser on top ofthe bed to better block to door. This would buy her some time, could never be too cautious and she was in a mysterious house with a man she hardly trusted.

Quickly Adele ran through her backpack. All she had was her lone combat knife, it would have to do for now.

Bane moved along to the door tracking her scent to the room as he clawed at the door he would growl a bit before speaking. "Open up you got no where to go... and I'm hungry for a little human meat." bane would show his true colors as he kept scratching at the door hoping to find some weak point but with how the door was build it would have nothing but the new would from outside being fresh. he moved around starting to scratch the wall no caring if she heard him knowing that if she tried to jump out he would hear her as he snarls and continuously tries to find a way to his food source which just lay on the other side, his precocious and delicious meal
